The South African wine industry is evolving at an incredible pace… nowhere in the world is there such a dynamic and energetic wine scene at the moment. The producers we’ll be tasting are the cream of the crop of what we’ve loosely termed ‘New Wave’ South Africa. Damon Quinlan of SWiG Wines will be here on Thursday 17 October to unleash these wonderful wines

The fun kicks off at 7.15pm with a tasting of circa 16 wines followed by a dinner focussing on the wines of BLANKBottle… made by force of nature, Pieter Walser, the range is ever changing/evolving. In 2019 Pieter released and incredible 47 wines from 65+ vineyards across the length and breadth of South Africa… Pieter owns no vineyards. He is doubtless one of South Africa’s (the World’s even) most dynamic producers and his wines encapsulate the creativity and brilliance of the current Cape Wine Scene. The wines aren’t varietally labelled, instead each label and wine ‘batch’ name depicts the story of the wine or the tale of where it came from… or something related to his life that has impacted him.

£65 per person, payable upon booking, transferable but non-refundable. The tasting will begin at 7.15pm with dinner served from 8.15pm. Bookings are not confirmed until full payment has been recieved.
